British Firework
Championships 2024

British Firework Championships 2024

Another controversial year for the Championships. On Thursday evening at the award ceremony, Anytime Fireworks were declared the winners. However, the Anytime Fireworks team had failed to fuse their display by the agreed deadline, and most of that night’s other competitors helped them finish their fusing in time to fire the display. Understandably, all the other competitors were aggrieved at Anytime Fireworks winning.

The following day, the organisers decided to disqualify Anytime Fireworks and promoted BBB Fireworks to the winners.

2024 Competitors

Each night, three 10-minute displays are fired from Mount Batten breakwater in Plymouth Sound.

Night One – Wednesday, 14 August 2024

  1. Smart Pyrotechnics – Wiltshire

  2. Sky Rascal Fireworks – Somerset

  3. Pyrotex Fireworks – East Staffordshire

Night Two – Thursday, 15 August 2024

  • Anytime Fireworks – Dorset

  • Celestial Fireworks Displays – Leicestershire

  • BBB Fireworks – East Sussex

And the winner is…

BBB Fireworks

Based in East Sussex, the company evolved out of the historic Battel Bonfire Boyes, one of the oldest bonfire societies in the country, bringing with them centuries of tradition and a deep understanding of pyrotechnic spectacle. Trading as BBB Fireworks, they’ve successfully bridged heritage and innovation, combining grassroots bonfire artistry with modern professional display techniques. Their 2024 win marked a major milestone for the company, securing their reputation as one of the most exciting newcomers on the national scene.
